Georgina is a painter working in Hitchin in Hertfordshire. Her work explores her love of nature and the outdoors.

Georgina has a strong interest in painting from direct observation, whether this be from life or in her studio using photographs. She enjoys focussing on colour in her work where she will carefully draw out the many different colours seen within landscapes. She uses bold brushstrokes in a painterly style to create marks that are suggestive of the forms within the landscapes. Her brushwork and her strong interest in colour matching, creates abstracted landscapes when viewed closely, and which are more representative when viewed at a distance.

Georgina studied History of Art at the University of York and she has continued to paint and draw throughout her life. She was awarded an Art Scholarship at school and was also placed in the top 10 in the country for her GCSE result. Georgina has attended short courses at Heatherley’s School of Art and the Art Academy to supplement her self study practise.

Many of Georgina’s original paintings are now in private collections across the UK, America and Europe.
